Phelipe Eizaguirre’s professional background is in graphic design and advertising, sectors in which he worked as a designer at different studios and agencies. After a few years, he decided to start working as a freelancer, and that was also when he got into photography – initially for his projects but ultimately working full time.
As a photographer, he focuses on two different types: There’s interior design and architecture photography, where he aims to capture spaces naturally, without staging, where a careful balance of light and shadow brings harmony; and then there’s adventure photography – more rugged and unpredictable – which he finds just as exciting.
Phelipe thinks that the most important thing about a project is understanding that each session entails a massive investment – long hours of preparation and making lots of decisions – so the outcome should be worth all the effort. For all this, for him, photography is ultimately the icing on the cake.
