Santos presents its new products to fit out the kitchen and daytime living areas

Santos has added a number of new designs to its furniture brochure, perfect for fitting out the kitchen and the home’s common areas. These new products, true to the brand’s philosophy of constant evolution, seek to meet the growing and ever-changing demands of users by offering more options to make tasks easier, optimise space and enhance customisation. With them, Santos drives home the principles that have guided its most recent launches, with the intention of creating homes with open-plan layouts and a functional, harmonious and consistent interior design.
Practical and well-equipped interiors
One of the hallmarks of the cabinets designed by Santos is their interiors, both for their carefully designed layout and their extensive range of accessories. A wonderful example of this is the new kitchen roll holder accessory in American Walnut and Olive Ash wood, which takes organising drawers to the next level. No drawer should be without three of these wooden roll holders: one without a blade, for baking paper, and two with a blade, to cut aluminium foil and cling film.
Santos has also increased the options for furnishing with tall units, bringing together appliances and storage units within a compact, organised space. There’s a new unit that has been specifically designed to hold a built-in wine cooler, so it’s now possible for the kitchen to boast an integrated wine cooler.
What’s more, there are two new sets of laundry units available. One of them is a tall washer and dryer unit, designed to integrate a washer and dryer in one single space. The other is an entire workspace that comes with shelves, lighting, worktop, double drawer with a laundry bag and a sink unit or washer. The retractable fronts of these tall units can be temporarily hidden away along their sides, making it easy to see what’s inside and providing easy access.
Attractive and ergonomic opening systems
Santos also brings together beauty and functionality in its opening systems for furniture. The new brochure features a profile handle to make opening tall units and upper double drawers easier. It’s a lacquered aluminium profile that – thanks to its slim design and customisable finish – seamlessly blends into the fronts, bringing a uniform look to the whole.
In base units, this profile handle is used on the upper edge of the front, spanning its entire width. In contrast, in tall units, the handle is placed on the vertical edge of the doors to provide users with a more ergonomic way of opening the doors. Visually speaking, it creates a delicate counterpoint that emphasises the units’ clean lines.
Slim, hard-wearing, bespoke laminate worktops
Another exciting development is the addition of a new range of laminate worktops – made of compact laminate – to the brochure. This material, which looks very similar to porcelain and quartz, is warmer than these to the touch and, above all, stands up better to daily use. Compared with stone materials, laminate is more hard-wearing against knocks on its edges and corners, and it doesn’t break as easily as it has a certain degree of flexibility. The new laminate worktops, which are only 1.2 cm thick, are available in several finishes.
Integrated and discreet extraction systems
Integrated fume extraction systems are increasingly common for kitchens nowadays. One of the main reasons is their compact and discreet design that does away with annoying visual barriers, creating more free-flowing, open spaces. To meet this growing trend, Santos has developed specific hob units to house this type of extraction system. In the case of hobs with an integrated extractor, the new units are suitable for installation with a ducted or ductless air outlet. For telescopic hoods for worktops, the units adapt to whether the extraction motor goes in front or at the back, allowing air to be vented towards the front or back of the unit.
Finishes for all tastes: kitchens in red, blue, brown or wood
Santos has also launched new finishes for fronts and interiors, further increasing the customisation options available. The new additions include plain and lacquered colours, which range from the neutrality of Mist Grey or Nacre White, to the more daring and original colours of Sage Green, Indian Red, Cosmos Blue and Dark Brown.
Likewise, there are new wooden melamines available, such as Light Elm and Natural Oak, and stone laminates such as Terrazzo Grey, White Marble or Emperador Marble. All of them feature realistic surface finishes, so they all look and feel like the real thing.
Custom furnishings for the daytime living areas
The new Santos brochure offers even more possibilities for its Living line, a modular furniture system designed to adapt to any space or need. So, aside from featuring new sideboards, shelves and glass door units, there are practical and versatile furnishings for workspaces such as offices and workshops.
