Santos kitchens: designs that adapt to all atmospheres

—27 / 071/ 2015—

Thanks to their pure design, variety of finishes, resistance and functionality, Santos kitchen cabinets adapt themselves to any surroundings or atmosphere: various specialist media draw attention to these facts in their latest issues.

Cocinas y Baños highlight the luminous and discrete minimalist design of the grey PLANO model from Santos, furniture that, combined with touches of wood on the ceiling and floor, helps create a fresh, welcoming and practical atmosphere that invites you to cook and also to get together with family or friends. On their part, Mi Casachooses the model ARIANE 2 in seff white as kitchen of the month, emphasising that the colour multiplies the light in the room and creates a sensation of amplitude as well as combining perfectly with the wood.

The blog Cocinas con estilo and the magazine Casa Viva also highlight the virtues of Santos’ white kitchens. The first covers a kitchen design that is clean and elegant, in which the INTRA model, with its white fronts, harmoniously brings together materials as different as stainless steel, slate and wood. Meanwhile, Casa Viva reviews a kitchen in which the MINOS furniture from Santos in white, contrasted only by a central island in wengé, gives continuity to the spaces and boosts the luminosity.

The blogs Design Boom and Play Magazine picked up on the «Casa Incubo» (Incubo House), a house constructed with eight reusable shipping containers, creation of the architect María José Trejos in Costa Rica. Living room, dining room and kitchen interconnect on the first floor; opening up to an outdoor patio presided by a cedar tree. In the kitchen, the LINE-E design from Santos, with its clear lines and no handles, integrates perfectly with the minimalist style of the building, adding warmth thanks to the breakfast bar on the island.

Santos kitchen cabinets also work well in atmospheres that are more traditional.Interiores Minimalistas, for example, look at the renovation of a house in privileged countryside surroundings, in which the kitchen is fitted with the SEDA model in sand grey, a design that is simple, functional and modern whilst being, at the same time, warm and timeless without having the design of rustic wood furniture.

On the same lines, Mi Casa and Vivir en el campo both present interior design projects in which Santos kitchen cabinets are the only elements that break away from tradition. The magazine Interiores opts for the WOOD NATURA model as a contemporary design option for traditional and classic surroundings. In this kitchen, the walnut wood of the fronts combines with the white of the tall unit area and the aluminium handles, becoming an example of equilibrium between noble and innovative materials.
