New collection of Santos kitchen units: unique solutions for unique spaces

21 / 02 / 2019

Over the past few weeks, we have been giving sneak peeks of the 2019 Collection of Santos kitchens in different media. In this article, which officially marks the launch of our new blog, we’ll share what’s new and what’s hot in this new collection of kitchen units, which is now available across our entire network of showrooms.

Kitchens designed to open out to the rest of the house

The kitchen is gaining more and more prominence in the home. The partitions that traditionally separated it from the rest of the house have gradually disappeared, allowing it to open out to other rooms such as the living room or dining room. Areas now merge together, gaining a sense of spaciousness and versatility, and the kitchen is no longer just a work area as it’s now a hub for interaction. The new designs of Santos kitchens respond to this trend, inside and out: their precise and discreet lines make it easy for them to seamlessly blend into the home’s daytime living areas, and their integration solutions keep everything tidy and hidden from view.

Kitchen cabinets that make better use of space

Space is highly prized in today’s society. The average size of houses is getting smaller and smaller and the pace of life calls for solutions to store and organise not only the utensils necessary for working but also the weekly or fortnightly shop. The 2019 Collection of Santos kitchen units includes new shelving options, designed to maximise all available space. The plinth drawer, for example, expands the capacity of base units down to the floor, making it possible to have four spacious, easy-to-access levels of storage. Even in a sink unit, this drawer provides valuable additional space to store pots, frying pans or food.

More personalisation options to create unique kitchens

Santos’ 2019 Collection represents a major breakthrough in personalisation options for kitchens. These are not limited to the cabinets’ external appearance as users can mix and match different colours and finishes to customise the interiors of drawers, bins, wall units and tall units to their liking. The new Santos kitchen accessories also make it possible to adapt the kitchen to the specific habits and needs of each user. Thus, the drawers and bins hold helpful organisers that help in keeping their contents in order, optimising storage space: cutlery trays, knife racks, spice racks, trays, plate racks, wooden boxes, etc. Meanwhile, the kitchen’s intermediate area—located between the worktop and the wall units—has now been transformed into a functional wall thanks to the LED lighting profile, which is fitted with exclusive and practical accessories such as the multipurpose rack or the roll holder, made of olive ash or walnut wood.
