Santos presents its new shelving system for the living room

Santos launches a new modular shelving system for the living room on the market, with which it continues to expand its furniture line. This product, a propriety design by the company, will be available across its entire network of showrooms from 8 June onwards.
New options to kit out increasingly connected interiors
With its latest furniture collection, Santos responded to a marked, growing trend: the removal of barriers that traditionally separated work and leisure areas in the home. Get-togethers and gatherings are no longer limited to the living room, and spaces come together, expand and open up, connecting to each other to give the home a harmonious, open-plan interior design.
The new Santos kitchen designs, with their simpler and cleaner lines, have been created not only to blend with the architecture and interior design of the daytime living areas but also to serve as a connecting link among them.
This philosophy is also reflected in ideas intended to kit out the dining room or living room, such as the sideboard glass unit, which draws inspiration from traditional china cabinets, or the glass door unit, which adds utility and personality to these areas.
And now, the new shelving system presented by Santos is another great way to bring the attractive, discreet and functional look of the brand’s designs to other areas in the house to create more harmonious and cohesive atmospheres.
Aesthetics and functionality also in the living room
The new shelf designed by Santos is based on a modular system that—by combining tall units and panels with shelves—doubles the possibilities for storage and organisation. The tall units with their 50 cm fronts are fitted with shelves intended to hold items that are best kept out of sight. In contrast, the panels with shelves are perfect for displaying books and decorative items that are brought to the fore in the room’s style.
The system, available in heights ranging from 228 to 276 cm, can be mounted with legs or wall mounted. It’s also possible to provide it with a LED profile that—running vertically along the side of the tall units—illuminates the area with shelves, transforming the shelving unit into a source of indirect ambient lighting.
The interiors and exteriors of the set are completely customisable with multiple finishes whose choice is up to the user, mixing and matching them to give the whole uniformity and contrast, depending on their preferences.
