Santos Cabinets: The Key to Get Kitchen Projects Right

15 / 06 / 2018 —

In its “Guide to Renovations”, the magazine Interiores highlights Santos’ five keys to getting kitchen renovations right: optimising space, convenience and accessibility, quality, brightness and adapting to every style. All of these have been put into practice in the projects featured by specialist media in architecture, décor and interior design.

By the sea. A new life

Casa Viva

The restoration of this 1970s home, located on the coast of Galicia, aimed to transform it into something completely new—more modern and with its own personality—, while remaining true to the essence of the original building. The kitchen stands out for its coherence, both with the spirit of the renovation and the owners’ needs and tastes. The units, a MINOS LINE-E design by Santos with a Horizontal Ivory Ash finish, are characterised by their simplicity and clean, pure lines. The warmth of the wood finish perfectly harmonises with the white touches of the interior design, creating a very pleasant atmosphere to work and enjoy good company in.

Bright atmosphere

Arquitectura y Diseño

The kitchen is one of the hearts of this single-family home. Following the criteria established for the rest of the floor, the room was designed to be completely open, flowing directly into the dining room and living room, as well as the house’s exterior. Careful planning made it possible for users to have everything they needed to store, work and get together in less than 20 square metres of space. The cabinets—of the LINE-E and ARIANE designs by Santos with a White Seff finish—, seamlessly blend into the interior design, thanks to their simple lines and uniformity of colour.

A minimalist kitchen

Casa Viva

The owners of this house wished to transform the kitchen into one of the hubs for family interaction, a restful and pleasant area in which to spend precious moments with the family. This is why they chose to open it out to the rest of the house and to give it a relaxed, modern and industrial look, in keeping with its users’ preferences. The units are a blend of the LINE and LINE-E 13 models by Santos—two minimalist designs that help to create airy and spacious rooms.

How to decorate a 70 m2 flat

Casa Viva

The young couple who own this flat, located in a historic building dating from the early 20th century, wanted to adapt it to their tastes and lifestyle. For the kitchen, one of the most vital spots in the house, they chose the ÉPOCA White Silk Matt model by Santos, a classical design that has been conceptualised to meet contemporary needs. The white colour of the walls, ceilings and cabinets serves to enhance the room’s brightness. In contrast, the laminated Light Elm worktop by Santos, together with the flooring and walls, adds a warm and homey touch to the whole.
