Homify, a portal specialising in architecture and interior design, points out in one of its articles that minimalist kitchens, aside from always having an impeccably clean appearance, have enough space to store items in and work comfortably. Santos kitchen designs, with their straight lines, clear shapes and solid colours, are a testament to this statement.

The owners sought an island kitchen in keeping with the philosophy of their new home: open, discreet, elegant and highly functional, without overlooking storage capacity. To meet their needs, units combining the LINE-E and MINOS-E models by Santos in a White Silk Matt finish were chosen. With their pure and minimalist lines, these designs make up a harmonious and homogeneous whole. In addition, their light-coloured fronts help to enhance the room’s natural brightness, creating a peaceful atmosphere highly conducive to working or enjoying leisurely moments.

One of the main wishes of the owners of this house was to transform the kitchen into a hub for family interaction, a restful and pleasant area in which to spend precious moments with the family. This is why they chose to do away with the barriers separating the kitchen from the living room, opening it up to the rest of the house. The units are a blend of the LINE and LINE-E 13 models by Santos, two minimalist designs that help to create bright and spacious rooms.

It was the express wish of the owners that the comprehensive renovation of this home should give the kitchen a more spacious feel but without completely opening it up to the living room. With this in mind, the decision was made to keep the island kitchen semi-integrated into the floor, through a corridor incorporated into the dining area. The room is fitted with the LINE-E design by Santos in an Innsbruck White finish, units with plain handle-less fronts which, with their minimalist and modern lines, provide a neutral contrast and brightness. Lightness is further enhanced by the white colour of the ceiling, walls and worktops.

The island kitchen is found at the heart of this newly built holiday home in Ibiza (Balearic Islands), sharing an open space on the ground floor with common areas such as the dining room, living room or TV room. This is why it was fitted with units that, aside from providing capacity, organisation and functionality, suit the style of the rest of the house—elegant and understated in neutral tones. The LINE model by Santos—the epitome of discretion with its plain handle-less fronts—seamlessly blends into the home’s architecture.

The comprehensive renovation carried out in this apartment opened up the kitchen to other rooms, giving rise to one single large, open area where the entrance area, living room and dining room all flow together. In addition, it has a terrace separated by a moveable partition which, when the owners have no need for it, can easily be stowed away. The kitchen was fitted with a combination of the White Seff LINE-E and ARIANE models by Santos, two minimalist designs that, with their pure, clean lines, emphasise the idea of an area for cooking as well as spending time with the family.

One of the main objectives of this renovation was to create a spacious and multifunctional central area combining different rooms. This is why the kitchen, pantry and living area all merge together into one single space, in which visual barriers are at a minimum, to foster communication and interaction among the inhabitants. The island kitchen, located in a corner of the floor, was fitted with the Snow White LINE-L design by Santos, with a layout designed to favour the entrance of natural light through the large windows and glass doors. This aspect is further enhanced by a colour scheme where white predominates, making the room bright and harmonious.
