Additionally, in kitchens open to other areas of the house, they can also serve as discreet dividers or transition elements between rooms.

Arquitectura y Diseño devotes an article to a detached single-family home defined by its simplicity and airiness, both on the outside and the inside. Its public areas have been designed to be free-flowing, open spaces, connecting the different rooms comprising them. The minimalist design of the building is likewise reflected in its interiors, where the blend of white hues and microcement adds personality, simplicity and brightness to each of the rooms.

The kitchen, open to the living-dining room and visible from different angles, is the hub for daytime living areas. The units, a White Seff LINE-E design by Santos, seamlessly blend into the interior design thanks to the subtlety of their pure, clean lines.

Here, maximum functionality and capacity in the least amount of space were achieved by combining a large central island with a row of base and tall units, where several electrical appliances and storage units can be found. The latter conceals the stairs leading to the house, serving as a divider without diminishing visibility or brightness.

Mi Casa takes a look at a fabulous comprehensive renovation that transformed the kitchen into the heart of the home, with the hallways, dining room and living room laid out around it, creating a unique and open space with no visual barriers.

The room was fitted with a Snow White MINOS-L design by Santos, complete with an island that serves as the true centre of activity in the flat: on the one hand, it visually delineates the work area, and on the other hand, it acts as a nexus between the entrance hall, living room and dining room.

The predominance of white in the interior design enhances natural light streaming in through the windows. In contrast, the darker hues add depth and elegance to the whole.

The wood parquet floor, which is found all throughout, provides just the right balance, adding a harmonious, warm and extremely homely touch to all the rooms.
