Santos Kitchens: Designed to Flow into the Rest of the House
09 / 01 / 2018 —
The kitchen cabinets designed by Santos, with its clean, straight lines, seamlessly blend into the architecture and interior design of any home. What’s more, their integration solutions help to keep everything neat and tidy, which is essential in kitchens that open into other rooms of the house. This is shown by several projects featured in publications specialising in décor and interior design.
It is becoming more and more common for the home’s public areas to be laid out around the kitchen, turning it into one of the central hubs for its inhabitants. In the project featured by ByD Blog y Decoración, the kitchen, pantry area and living room all share the same area, reducing visual barriers to foster interaction among users. The kitchen, fitted with the Snow White LINE-L design by Santos, is located in a corner of the floor, with a layout that makes the most of natural light. In the middle of the room, a large island with multiple features serves as a transition to the living room.
Diseño Interior also takes a look at a project in which the kitchen is visually connected to the public areas in the house. This is why a Snow White LINE-L cabinet design by Santos was chosen; its plain fronts and handle-less designs add beauty and subtlety. The cabinets are laid out around an island which has a natural maple table attached to it, where a delicious meal can be comfortably enjoyed without stepping out of the kitchen.
In contrast, Casa Viva features a renovation in which the kitchen—fitted with a MINOS LINE-E design by Santos—opens out to a corridor that leads to the entrance of the house on one end, and to the dining room that connects to the living room on the other end. The warmth of its wood finishes provides a lovely contrast to the whiteness of the worktop and other elements of its interior design, creating an immaculate, airy and very pleasant atmosphere for working and enjoying the company of others.
Interiores devotes an article to an open-plan kitchen, connected to a breakfast bar and the main dining room through a serving hatch. This is how these areas have managed to gain greater continuity, harmony and spaciousness. The units, a Snow White LINE-L design by Santos, harmonise with the interior design characterised by the predominance of white, creating a bright and restful room—the perfect place to get inspired and whip up delicious dishes. The overall look is balanced out with warm touches provided by the wood worktop and flooring.
Cocinas y Baños covers a kitchen that opens into the dining room, fitted with units made up of the LINE-L and SEDA models by Santos with a Snow White finish. The minimalist design of the cabinets works particularly well in this architecture, which is distinguished by its very high roof and the lack of visual barriers. The central island, strategically located right in front of a window and a sliding door, makes it possible for users to enjoy the natural light streaming in and the views while they work. The solid oak counter attached to it is highly useful as an additional work area or as a table for breakfast and quick meals.
