The Spanish Public Corporation for the Development of Design and Innovation (ddi), of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, organised the exhibition "A la mesa! diseño & comida" (Time to eat! Design & Food).  The event opened its doors at the beginning of March at the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid and now continues as a travelling exhibition around Spain.

The exhibition will include products and services that capture the most current and innovative attitudes, which are capable of confirming that food is an endless source of debate.

Among the examples presented, you will find two solutions developed by Santos for drawer equipment:

Bread box: made of solid maple from forests where felling and planting are carried out in a balanced way. It consists of a crumb-collection tray and a container in which to store the bread.

Basket: made entirely of stainless steel, it has perforations to aid ventilation. This element is designed for storing vegetables, fruit, potatoes, etc.

Both pieces have been selected by the designer Martín Azúa, the commissioner of the exhibition.
