Relais & Chateauz Flocons de Sel Hotel
Megève (France)
On 4 and 5 October, Santos took part in the Collections food event, a non-profit cultural project designed by Enzo Caldarelli. Since its first year in 1996, the event has been gathering the highlights of the culinary art of the moment in annual collections.
Collections has two headquarters, in Megéve (France) and Capri (Italy), responsible for hosting the two phases that make up the event. In 2010, the setting for the French stage was the Relais & Chateaux Flocons de Sel.
At the hotel, managed by well-known French chef Emmanuel Renaut, a cast of renowned cuisine experts came up with many different and innovative proposals, with the intention of surprising all five senses of those present. And so Alexandre Bourdas and Bart de Pooter teamed up with Mauro Colagreco, Alex Gauthier, Marc Gascons, Fabio Barbaglini and Rocco Iannone. Alex Croquet provided the renowned high quality variety of bread and pastries made in his bakery at Wattignies (France), while the winery Anselm Selosse contributed to the toasting with its elite and prestigious champagne.
In addition to enjoying the scenery and the latest culinary trends, the select audience, composed of media and restaurant professionals, had the opportunity to become familiar with the philosophy of Santos by attending the practical presentation of one of its kitchens, specially designed for the occasion.
The Santos kitchen was located on a terrace of the Flocons de Sel with privileged views over Mont Blanc, and was host to the tasting of cheeses and desserts as the culmination for lunch on the second day.
